Exploring the roots of American music, Boys of Greenwood Glen hail from the mythical glens in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle. Their deep commitment and passion for the acoustic traditions of folk, country, Irish, old time and of course, bluegrass makes for an exciting blend, a living experience of rugged music played by musicians who want you to join them in raucous celebration. With as wide a range of songs as the open prairie, the boys will have you clapping your hands, stomping your feet and singing along!

Ricky Gene Powell

Singer-Songwriter

Ricky Gene Powell has been the driving force behind Tiny Giants, Burning Plow and now, Boys Of Greenwood Glen. A seasoned performer of both electric and acoustic music, Ricky Gene's open down-home presence creates a "back porch" warmth to his solo shows, which combined with his insightful political ideas and strong skills as a songwriter makes for a great show!
